Oh you know, a little of this, a little of that.
If you like this movie you hate freedom.

The year is 1916 and Russia is an agrarian paradise under the benevolent rule of Tsar Nicholas II. Sound shocking dear reader?! Well read on to see the true extent of the counter-revolutionary lies to be found in the 1997 Animated Musical “Anastasia”.

Note the working class freezing to death in the background

Exhibit A:

“There was a time, not very long ago when we lived in an enchanted world of elegant palaces and grand parties. The year was 1916, and my son Nicholas was the Tsar of Imperial Russia.”

If this sentence does not make you want to burn down Fox Animation Studios then you are a pathetic piece of human filth. First of all, this opening scene is supposed to show us the wonderful world of Imperial Russia but all it does is give us an inside view into the grotesque hedonistic rule of Nicholas II.

"ahaha the peasantry are so mundane, I'm glad they're dying in World War 1"

Who the frak does he think he is throwing a god damn party while there is a war on?

Later, while the god damn “Grand Duchess” Anastasia is being given an ornate jewellery music box encrusted with diamonds and crap, probably worth the yearly salaries of those fighting on the front, a peasant boy is scolded by some guy for daring to show his face in public saying “you belong in the kitchen!” That an animated film directed towards young children would blatantly show child labour and classism without any apparent negative connotations is outrageous. Outrageous!!

Later, Rasputin shows up and is now pretty much a warlock now. Tsar Nicholas tells him to get the hell out and Rasputin vows to curse them all or something. So he uses his magic to create green flying things to cause a revolution. This is perhaps the most offensive image in the movie. Apparently the Russian Revolution, the greatest example of Peace Loving Workers and Peasants rising up to cast off the shackles of a corrupt aristocracy was not caused by the various massacres, incompetence in WWI or the multitude of other injustices suffered by the Russian people at the hands of their government, but instead a wizard did it all or something.

Image
thanks for the help satan!

The weirdest thing is that the revolution seemed to be confined to about 100 people yelling at the palace. The green demons help them out by unlocking the gates, and the revolutionaries go in and torch the place. Maybe all the massacres and stuff did lead the Russian people to revolt, but they needed the help of green imps to unlock the gate. These are the questions this movie has left me with.

Exhibit B:

As you can see, this representation of Leningrad (called St. Petersburg in the film in yet another example of its anti-truth agenda) suggests that in the time since the Soviets took power St. Petersburg has been reduced to a city of smokestacks and pollution. It’s called progress you assbutts. Show me an industrialized city of that era that does not look similar.

Those factories are producing bandages and metal pots and tractors and stuff. YOU NEED THIS STUFF, so don’t go and complain about smokestacks when your new tractor was provided thanks to the industrialization programs of the great and glorious Soviet Government. Frak you Anastasia. If it were up the people who made this movie, half of Russia would have died from famine.

I don't get your post at all. Are you a communist speaking up against capitalist lies or a misunderstood film critic or a capitalist taking the proverbial out of communists or what?

the Russian Revolution, the greatest example of Peace Loving Workers and Peasants rising up to cast off the shackles of a corrupt aristocracy

You have heard of the massive damage (and loss of life) caused by the huge civil war in Russia between the "red" and "white" Russian armies and later by infighting between the Mensheviks and Bolshevics right?

Finally neither of the Russian revolutions were caused by the "people" the first was basically the government of Russia getting rid of the monarch and the second by a small group of revolutionaries who got very lucky with international backing (Germany) and a cause. I will admit the second was "for" the people but not by the people and the first had no intention of improving life for the Russian people they were just interested in suing for peace. Which they did and this would have been at a huge cost to the Russian people had the war not been won by the Triple entente powers and America.

If this is a joke, it completely escapes me. And I have a wierd sense of humor.

Wait till he replys to his own thread.  His avatar explains everything.

Edit: now the dawn of victory mod makes sence to.

Unfortunatly, that means we all should be kinda nice to swiss knight, because it wouldnt be nice to troll a modder.

The Tsars were pretty bad, but when you butcher kids in a basement it's anything but peaceful.  Evil bastards replaced evil bastards, followed by an evil bastard that made the previous ones look like adorable little angels.

It's not as if the movie even makes an attempt at being accurate.  The Tsars were expelled from their palace and placed under house arrest long before their massacre at the hands of their captors.  They weren't even in the same city, let alone the imperial palace.  It's just entertainment.

Uhm, I don't know the point of this post too, but I'm gonna post something that I like to call "the 7 wonders of the communism"

1. There were no unemployed people.

2. Although everybody had a job, nobody was actually working.

3. Although nobody was actually working, all plans were fulfilled at least 100%.

4. Although the plans were fulfilled at least 100%, the shops/stores were empty.

5. Although the shops/stores were empty, everybody had everything.

6. Although everybody had everything, everybody was stealing.

7. Although everybody was stealing, nothing was missing.

Now I guess my reply is nothing different that the post itself...

It is simply a fiction post made for promote his mod related to space war between Soviet, Nazi, and Western people...

In fact, the post make here can perfectly be used in the mod itself, for the propaganda newspaper system included in the mod...

I really think that his goal is a publicity thing, and no a attempt to start a political flame war ( i hope )...

on Nov 05, 2010

In 1992, the movie Aladdin was released by disney.  As I like to discuss movies from nearly 20 years ago as if they are current events, I too have decided to post here.  Suffice to say, arabs are not all evil and this movie clearly portrays some evil arabs.  Look, a picture!  Evil!!!!  Even that #**&# parrot!

edit - well that certainly makes a bit more sense, but seriously - jafar

on Nov 05, 2010

Jafar was obviously a freedom fighter expelling the corrupt sultan to free his people from bondage, something I hear particular individuals find quite entertaining for some reason.

on Nov 05, 2010

Jafar is what makes being an evil arab a good thing! seriously though have you actually looked into the history of who the real Rasputin is?

You're missing the whole point of the movie Pacov.

It's clearly about solving the energy crisis in Pakistan by tapping into the jinn (a.k.a Robin Williams).

I thought aladdin had to do with the need for better password strength and those things on hamburger buns.

on Nov 06, 2010

Aladdin is the bad guy, it is the name of a software DRM and Internet security company in Israel today... If Jafar was successful in killing Aladdin, today honest player will have less DRM problem...

And this explain the actual muslim "freedom" fighter who try to destroy Israel today... it is simply for protect western game from the evil DRM from Israel...

Pretty much old news. Disney movies always had this "blurred" vision towards monarchy and thats far from the worst fact about disney you can dig out.

on Nov 09, 2010

Most of the country has a fetish for royalty, not surprising.  Sheeple are a lot like cows, the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

on Nov 09, 2010

Fact 1: Many old stories revolve around the young hero trying to get the princess' hand. (In marriage, not chopped up for supper).
Fact 2: You can't have a princess without a monarchy.
Fact 3: Disney makes movies about old stories and fairytales.
Fact 4: Thus, Diseny presents a lot of monarchies. That you'd like to marry into. And you can't have a despotic royal family / princess, that'd really ruin the point.

Oh... one thing.

Who the frak does he think he is throwing a god damn party while there is a war on?

I don't really see this concern in many western countries, even though we're involved in a rather large amount of wars at the moment. So I'll call hypocricy on this one.
